We aim to shine a light on overlooked coffee producing countries of origin—starting with Papua New Guinea, Honduras, and Indonesia—and roast for cozy, everyday delight. Expect clear flavor notes, simple brew tips, and a warm, unpretentious tone. Sunshine in your cup, a wag in your day.

Why the name "SunPuppy"?

Our family pup, Penelope ("Penny"), always curled up by the sunniest window next to the coffee maker. She inspired the brand—and the feeling we chase in every roast: warm, easy, and welcome. Beans, Brews, Belly Rubs.

Which countries do you source from?

We focus on beautiful, under-recognized regions. Current highlights include Papua New Guinea (comforting dried-fruit & floral vibes), Honduras (balanced sweetness and friendly brightness), and Indonesia (volcanic depth, earthy body).

How do your coffees taste?

Papua New Guinea (Medium): Raisin & prune sweetness with a gentle, floral lift.
Honduras (Medium): Red apple brightness, brown-sugar sweetness, smooth dark-chocolate finish.
Indonesia (Dark): Volcanic, full-bodied and earthy with mellow brown-sugar sweetness.

Whole bean or ground?

Both! We love whole bean for peak freshness, but we also offer pre-ground options for convenience (check each product page). If you're grinding at home: pour-over = medium-fine, drip = medium, French press = coarse.

How fresh is the coffee and how should I store it?

We roast in small batches and pack promptly. Store in a cool, dry place—sealed—and use within 4–6 weeks of roast for best flavor (whole bean keeps peak longer). Skip the fridge; if you must freeze, portion first and thaw sealed.

Do you ship?

Yes—we ship to U.S. addresses (and are exploring more). Estimated delivery windows and rates appear at checkout. You'll receive tracking as soon as your order heads your way.

How do you approach ethics and sustainability?

We work with importers and producer partners who prioritize fair, relationship-driven purchasing, community well-being, and environmentally mindful practices. Our goal: celebrate growers, tell honest origin stories, and pay prices that support quality and stewardship.

Is coffee safe for dogs?

We love pups, but coffee isn't for dogs. SunPuppy is dog-inspired, not dog-served—please keep beans and brewed coffee away from furry friends. Enjoy your mug by the sun with your pup beside you, not sipping it. ☀️🐾

Can I use SunPuppy for espresso?

Yep! Start with our Honduras (Medium) for an approachable, sweet shot (red-apple lift, brown-sugar body, chocolate finish). For a syrupy, low-acid style, pull Indonesia (Dark) a tad longer. Dial-in tips: finer grind for more body/sweetness, coarser for clarity; aim 1:2 ratio (e.g., 18 g in → ~36 g out in ~28–32s), then adjust to taste.

Do you offer wholesale or café partnerships?

Are your coffees flavored?

Nope. Those tasting notes (like Red Apple or Brown Sugar) are natural flavors from the origin, variety, and roast—not added flavoring. We believe in letting the beans speak for themselves.

What's your return/replacement policy?

Coffee is perishable, but your happiness matters. If something's off with your order, reach out within 14 days and we'll make it right with a replacement or solution.

What's that one-way valve on the bag?

It lets fresh-roast CO₂ escape while keeping oxygen out. That means your coffee can rest and de-gas without losing freshness.
